Chronic pain
Chronic pain is a persistent and often debilitating type of pain that lasts for an extended period of time, typically for at least three to six months or longer.
Unlike acute pain, which is a normal response to an injury or illness and serves as a warning signal, chronic pain persists long after the initial injury or condition has healed. Chronic pain can be constant or intermittent and may vary in intensity.
Chronic pain can have various causes and may result from a wide range of underlying conditions, injuries, or diseases.
